Jakks Pacific Eyeclops Nightvision Goggles
Okay, so there's no legitimate reason why you need to be able to see in the dark to get ahead in school, but the Eyeclops Nightvision Goggles are just too freaking sweet for us to keep quiet about. This "toy" comes armed with the same sort of infrared technology that goes into real night vision gear, allowing you to see up to 50 feet in total darkness. We tried it and believe us, it works. The goggles even have two modes, a low-intensity mode where you're completely hidden and a high-intensity mode that offers better visibility but also turns on an external light that gives away your position. Either way, they're pretty awesome. Again, we have no idea what this has to do with going back to school-maybe you could convince yourself that you'll need it to study nocturnal animals or something-but it's still an awesome piece of gear to play around with.

If we had these things when we were kids, who knows what we could have accomplished with our lives. Maybe we'd be writing this gift guide from the Oval Office. Or better yet, from outer space. Ah, if only...
