Pyramat Gamebag 2.1
GamePro's 2008 Back To School Gift Guide and Giveaway!

Ah bean bag chairs, those comfortable squishy lumps of seating goodness. When we were kids, we used to sit in them while watching cartoons, a bowl of cereal balanced carefully on our knees. Now that we're grown up, we do most of our quality sitting time on couches (we still watch cartoons and eat cereal, though). But we were really interested in trying out the Gamebag 2.1 to see if the whole beanbag thing can work for us adults too. And guess what: it does. Best of all, this comfortable beanbag chair not only gives you a place to rest your butt, it has a built in 2.1 speaker set. You can hook it up to your TV, your favorite game console or just plug it straight into your MP3 player; we set it up on the floor of our demo room, sat back and played a few games. Because the speakers are close to your head, the sound quality and bass response is pretty good; it's also comfortable, which is probably why we fell asleep in it during our music listening test. So if you're looking for a nice place to park your rear end for a marathon gaming session, take a close look at the Gamebag 2.1.

Eee PC
GamePro's 2008 Back To School Gift Guide and Giveaway!

It seems like you can't be a functioning student these days without a laptop. In the olden times, students would actually hand write notes on paper and look up facts in actual books (shocking, isn't it?) but these days, having a laptop is a must. They're functional and make tasks like taking notes and looking up facts a breeze. And let's not forget how useful they are when it comes time to compose [essays] and write term papers. We were smitten with Asus' Eee PC ever since we got one in the office; it's compact, has all the tools you need to get your schoolwork done and best of all, it's cheap. The Eee PC is a pretty compelling choice for students of all ages who just need a dedicated computer for school work. Sure, it won't let you play the latest computer games but that's what dedicated gaming rigs are for. Speaking of which...
