Following in the footsteps of Metroid GRAW incorporates the HUD as part of the character's helmet. Though the HUD displays a lot of information, the screen remains clear of clutter. This winning design is especially useful in multiplayer mode, where you have to spend as much time switching between firing modes as shooting at enemies.
Halo was one of the first shooters to its HUD right. The third installment of the trilogy melds the best of all worlds and placing the HUD inside the characters helmet, fully immersing its clean HUD design into the world and making you feel as if you're actually playing as Master Chief.
