Inside Legendary: The Box (page 3 of 3)

How will online functionality play into the overall experience of the game?

JS: For us, the online gameplay experience has to start with the creatures; exploring the combat triangle, You vs Enemy vs Creature, against live opponents. You deal constantly with fighting creatures or Black Order in the single-player game but swap the Order for other players and the triangle gets livelier. How can you direct uncontrollable creatures against live opponents with the same goals in mind?

How does the music fit into the overall aesthetic of the game?

JS:We use rock as the music for Legendary. It's vital to support the equality of the conflict. These creatures are big, mean, have sharp teeth and move incredibly fast, and that can seem unfair. But we were at the top of the food chain for a reason. We may take some hits at first but we got some big guns and we know how to use them and we're going to fight back. That's Rock n Roll. The best moments of Aliens are when the soldiers lock and load and say bring it on - we don't take any crap from anything. Rock n Roll.

Is there anything that you were unable to include in the game due to time constraints or technical limitations?

JS:Mythology is huge and there were so many creatures we looked into but had to pass on due to time or technical issues. Everyone has their favorites and we are just hoping that we hit this one out of the park so we can unlock the creatures left behind.
