"You don't want to know which part of Andy's body we're zoomed in on right now. Trust us."
Name: Andy Burt (SonOfTheShiningPath)
Number of previous E3's you've attended: 0
Year your first E3 took place: 2007
What was your overall impression of this year's E3?
At the risk of sounding sappy, going to E3 was something I dreamed about since I was little gamer Andy. I'm aware that this E3 was toned down considerably compared to past years, I was still thoroughly impressed by the sheer number of games shown at the event. Yea, there weren't any big surprises, but the level of content at E3 was overwhelming.
How did it compare to E3's of past years? Was it better, worse or just as good?
As I haven't been to any E3 in the past, only heard and seen from the comfort of my home, it was great to finally be in the midst of the E3 storm.
What was the most memorable moment of this year's E3?
Getting G4TV's Adam Sessler to say that E3 stood for "Excruciatingly Enormous Expectations" on camera.
Who had the best E3: Microsoft, Nintendo or Sony? State your reasons.
I think Nintendo rested a little too comfortably on their laurels, and Microsoft didn't exactly excite me (Video Marketplace? Meh.) so the award goes to Sony. They have the massively immersive Home coming up, Little Big Planet, Killzone 2, Metal Gear Solid 4, etc. They may not sit anywhere near the top of the mountain right now, but something tells me that the tide may turn in 2008.
Which game left the biggest impression on you?
I'd have to say the Metal Gear Solid 4 trailer took the cake... then diced the cake with blades built into its shoes, flipped over the competition and impaled it with a katana. Close behind would be Killzone 2 and Call of Duty 4.
Which game was the most disappointing?
Not exactly a disappointing game, but I think that if Sony showed off some God of War III teaser I would have been exponentially more excited during their press conference.
Did you see any games with the potential to be a sleeper hit? Why did it catch your eye?
Maybe because I enjoyed the mindless fun of Crackdown so much, but Infamous looks really interesting. It had a darker, Crackdown-esque look to it, and I couldn't control the urge to be excited over it.
Infamous left SonOfTheShiningPath feeling all tingly inside

Wow. E3 was way better in earlier years. Ah, those were the cheerleaders, uh, I mean days. Days. Wow. I just got a boner. Heh heh.
