Name: Sid Shuman (ViciousSid)
Number of previous E3's you've attended: 4
Year your first E3 took place: 1999

What was your overall impression of this year's E3?
Meh. Good games from both Sony and Microsoft...Nintendo cruised, as expected. There was a distinct lack of mega-ton announcements this year. TGS might be the new king of the game conferences, if they leverage their international angle.

How did it compare to E3's of past years? Was it better, worse or just as good?
Worse, but the new, sane pace was much appreciated. It definitely seemed like the big publishers kept a lid on their earth-shaking announcements this time. Maybe they were worried about wasting them at MinE3.

What was the most memorable moment of this year's E3?
Id say the Metal Gear Solid 4 trailer at Sony's event, followed closely by Killzone 2. Both games look excellent.

Who had the best E3: Microsoft, Nintendo or Sony?
It's a tie between Microsoft and Sony. Nintendo just did their own thing, and were drowned in applause for some pretty lackluster unveilings. Sony and Microsoft showed tons of great-looking games. I might have to give a slight lead to MS, given their mega-ton franchises like Halo 3 and Mass Effect. But Sony was no slouch this year, and their Unreal Tournament 3 announcement was excellent news for gamers AND developers.

Which game left the biggest impression on you?
Legendary: The Box. It looked amazing because you fight mythical beasts in the modern world. Its kind of a no-brainer idea, actually--I'm surprised nobody thought of it sooner. But Legendary has the graphics and presentation to make this really work. We will find out for sure soon enough...

Which game was the most disappointing?
You know, Assassins Creed dropped a small notch in my opinion. The gameplay footage looked nice, but the combat system seemed sleepy and pokey. Jade Raymond needs to explain why the enemies just stand around and attack one-by-one...a move right out of cheesy kung-fu movies.

Did you see any games with the potential to be a sleeper hit? Why did it catch your eye?
See Legendary The Box. Gamecock really brought the goods this year.
