This chapter consists of the "outside" area with the Wasp Nest, Beehive, the Earthworm Mountain, and the entire Dung Beetle Cabin. It also serves as the central hub for the rest of the other chapters. You?ll find yourself passing through here early and often.
Mrs. Bee
The Queen Bee has lost her hive--that?s because the nasty wasps have stolen it. This is easy. Just go up the hill to the wasps? nest area (follow the sign pointing to ?Nasty?), and run up to the Bee Hive and you?ll automatically grab it. Now, make a mad dash back down the hill to where Mrs. Bee is. The key is to stick to the path--walk on the dead grass, and it?ll slow you down enough for the wasps to sting you. The grateful Mrs. Bee will give you $100 (you should now have $100 total).
Next, you?ll want to go past Mrs. Bee and cross the Bridge to where the large Context Sensitive platform waits. Once you have $100, Birdy the Scarecrow will sell you a Manual explaining how you use this ?more complicated? type of Platform. (Don?t worry?you won?t lose the money--Conker always manages to get back whatever he pays out.) Once you have the manual, press B and you?ll pull out a slingshot. Simply take aim at the dung beetles guarding the way up, and press Z to fire a chestnut at them. The first hit will just make them angry, the second will kill them. Aiming can be tricky since you have no crosshair--but the chestnut travels ?up? the screen as it goes along.
With the 4 Dung Beetles dead, you can now make your way up the hill--the first place you?ll want to go from here is the tunnel to the right. This will bring you to the chapter Barn Boys.
Poo Cabin
Come back here after you complete the Barn Boys chapter.
When you enter the Dung Beetle?s Cabin, press B on top of the Trap Door to smack it open. You?ll hear same cash calling above your head, but you won?t be able to grab it until you flood the area a little later. Don?t bother going for any of the goodies--they, too, will be much easier to grab after the flood. For now, just climb up and hop from rope to rope until you reach the tunnel about midway up, then run out the door to the Bullpen outside.
Pruned
Your first task in this area is to fill the wooden trough with Prune Juice. As soon as you enter the bullpen area, just go to your left and hop up the series of steps to the top, avoiding the dung balls (think Donkey Kong) that are rolling down from above. Eventually, you?ll reach a faucet handle at the top?start running in the direction of the arrow, and the faucet will begin to turn. Keep running until sweet, sweet prune juice starts to flow, then head back down below.
Yee Haa!
Now that you?ve got prune juice, it?s time to get a few cows to drink it. A target has suddenly appeared to the right of the entryway. Simply stand in front of it and wait for the bull to charge at you?leap out of the way just before he hits you, and he?ll hit the target. This will open a door, and a lovely female cow will come out to graze.
Now, you?ve got to take the bull by the horns--stand in front of the target wall that?s popped up and lead the bull toward that. When he hits it, he?ll be dazed for a moment. Use the opportunity to jump on top of him--now he?s yours to command!
Steer the bull until you?ve got the grazing female cow lined up in front of you. Press B, and the bull will begin to charge. Charge into the cow, and she?ll get upset and go for a drink of Prune Juice. The Prune Juice will give her a mad case of diarrhea; now, steer the bull to the cow?s new position, and charge her again. This will?well, kill her, and you?ll be bucked off the Bull. But that?s OK.
Now you have to repeat the process two more times, with two more female cows. A new target will appear, a new door will open, and a new cow will come out. Each cow will take a few more bucks from the bull before she goes running for the prune juice, but after the third dead cow, you?ll have all the?uh?stuff from the cows you?ll need. And, as a lovely bonus, the area you just came from will be flooded with?uh?goodness.
Sewage Sucks
After killing all the cows, go back into the pit and you?ll find it flooded. First, swim to the Context Sensitive platform to the left. Conker will learn how to dive underwater and swim with the B button. Dive beneath the surface, swim through the now-underwater tunnel across from the Context Sensitive platform, and then surface for air. You can now very easily grab that Extra Conker Tail (Extra Life). Then, dive under the surface again and make your way to the bottom of the rope-filled pit, to where you came in before. You?ll be able to grab the $100 (you should now have $600 total) that you couldn?t grab when you first arrived, so make sure you do that before you leap out the trap door.
Great Balls of Poo
After filling his Cabin with Poo, the grateful Dung Beetle will give reward you with unlimited Dung Balls. Woo hoo! Sure, it may not seem like much of a reward at first, but you?ll find you?ll be able to do quite a few things with them.
You?ll want to push your first Dung Ball up the top of the dung mountain. You?ll notice that there are two paths--one long one that starts behind the Cabin, and one short one that starts right next to the base of the mountain. You?ll want to take the Long, Behind-the-Cabin path first. Simply roll the Dung Ball up as far as you can go, timing it so that the beetles guarding the mountain are hiding in their nooks as you pass. When you reach the end of the path, push the Dung Ball on top of the Giant Sleeping Dung Beetle.
Next, go back down and grab another Dung Ball. Push it up the second, shorter path, all the way up to the top. When you reach the end of the path, slow down (or else the Dung Ball?s momentum will carry it off the edge and you?ll have to start all over again) and push it into the darkened tunnel, and it will plummet down the inside of the Dung Hill, smashing the boarded-up door at the bottom. That door leads to Chapter Five: Sloprano. You can now go in there, if you like, but it?s probably better to visit after completeing Chapter Three: Bats Tower.
Go back to the bottom of the hill, grab one last dung ball, and push it to the cliff to the right of the Dung Mountain, where the NO POOBALLS! sign is posted. Push the Dung Ball over the edge, and it will land on top of the spiky goblin guard. Drop down to him and pull the lever. This will drain the pond of all its inhabitants--including the guards. Now enter the pond and swim through the door, bringing you to Chapter Three: Bats Tower.
Wasps? Revenge
You won?t do this part of the chapter until late in the game, after completing the Chapter Six: Uga Buga with $1610 in your pocket.
Basically, it?s an extended retread of the first Mrs. Bee sequence. The wasps have stolen her hive again?only this time, they?ve brought it inside of their nest instead of leaving it conveniently outside. Go up to the Wasps? Nest, enter through the honeycomb door, and follow the path to the center. Hop inside the Beehive and you?ll find yourself at the helm of a gun turret, with waves of wasps coming at you. Basically, hold down Z to keep your chain gun constantly firing, shooting them out of the sky. Watch your radar for any blip that turns from blue to red--that means that particular wasp is about to attack, so swing your gun to the Red one and take him out! That?s especially important in the third and final wave.
In between waves, press B to reload your weapon, so you won?t run out of ammo and have to wait for the automatic reload during a particularly critical moment. Once you kill all the wasps, hop out of the hive with A (Mrs. Bee will tell you when), grab the hive, and RUN with it non-stop back the way you came. Follow the path just like you did before, and you?ll be fine. Mrs. Bee will reward you with $400 (you?ll have $2010 total after this)
But wait! There more cash to be gotten here, too?
Back up at the Wasps? Nest, you?ll notice other honeycomb holes. If you enter the one to the upper left of the main entrance (Hold down Z, then press A to get enough height), you find yourself inside the Nest?leap up and to the left into the next honeycomb, and you?ll wind up outside with $100 waiting for you. You?ll now have $2110 bucks in your pocket.
Mr. Barrel
Once you get over the $2100 mark you have enough money to pay off Mr. Barrel--if you?ve never met Mr. Barrel, he?s the?well?barrel that lives on top of the mountain with the Windmill that stands between Mrs. Bee and the Dung Beetles? home. Getting to the top is a little tricky--annoying, indestructible Earthworms keep popping out that tend to hurl you back to the ground. The best way to handle this is to take it slow--walk, don?t run, up the mountain path, and when an earthworm pops up, stop. He won?t be able to reach you quite yet. Hover-leap, and pass the worm safely.
Once you reach the top with the right amount of money, Mr. Barrel will let you ride him--it?s simple. Steer him down the path, and when you reach the bottom Mr. Barrel smash open the boarded up tunnel at the end of the river beyond Mrs. Bee. You?ll get knocked unconscious, and when you wake up, it?ll be night. Simply enter the newly opened tunnel and you?ll end up in Chapter Seven: Spooky.
