Halo 3 Zune Giveaway!

GamePro's Contest Week culminates with the prize to end all prizes: A special edition Halo 3 Zune!

Recently, we were lucky enough to be sent one of these awesome Halo 3 branded Zune players. How we marveled at the slick packaging, how we drooled over the included extras (full details can be found here), how we ran our quivering hands along the box and...

Ahem. Sorry. Suffice it to say, we were all impressed with the Halo 3 Zune and we all secretly began to think of ways to claim it for our own. After much deliberation, it was decided that we would have a Royal Rumble-style deathmatch in the GamePro Caged Octagon of Doom (patent pending) to determine who would walk away with this fabulous prize.

But then commonsense prevailed--we have a magazine and a website to run, which is hard enough without the entire staff beating each other to a pulp. So we decided that the next best thing would be to give it away to one of our members. That, boys and girls, is how much we love you.

So, what do you have to do to win this exceedingly excellent piece of entertainment electronics? Well, considering how awesome the prize is, we're going to make you work for this one a little. That said, it couldn't be simple: Just post a comment with a Halo 3 themed haiku in it.

You all know haiku, don't you? If you don't, educate yourselves here, then return and show us your poetic skills. We'll cull the best entries and vote to select a winner. This contest will remain open until June 1st and best of all, you can enter as many haikus as you want.

And just to give you guys a little bit of inspiration, the staff members of GamePro have crafted some of our own, which you can find on the next page.

As with all of our contests, there are some rules. First, don't plagiarize from your fellow entrants. Second, do be creative. Third, don't be a jackass and critize other people's entries. Just enter your own and keep opinions to yourselves. And finally, do have fun because we sure will when judging time comes.

And with that, the contest is officially open. Good luck, kids. We can't wait to see what you come up with!

UPDATE: Want to discuss the entries thus far (keep it civil). Then join the fun in this forum thread, started by member bueatifulraven!

Also, we've taken an early peek at the entries and we have one piece of advice: up the creativity, people! We will not give you the prize simply because you ask us to. And remember, this is a haiku writing contest, not a poetry contest. There's a difference!

This sweet piece of tech can be yours for a song...or rather, a poem.
