Square Enix Giveaway!

We got some awesome swag from the most popular RPG developer in the world and rather than keep it for ourselves, we're giving it away to you!

Konnichiwa, minna san! (Hi, everyone!) As many of you know, Square Enix had themselves a little party in Japan recently to announce their upcoming titles, Final Fantasy and otherwise. Our very own DaveMayCry braved the twelve-hour international flight and the throngs fanboys to bring us some in-depth coverage of the event. But that's not all he brought back. Along with some tasty Japanese treats for us in the office (Toppo FTW!), DaveMayCry also managed to stuff a bunch of neat-o swag into his backpack to share with you. And just what is up for grabs? Glad you asked.

First off, we have a sweet Final Fantasy XII Play Arts action figure of Gabranth, everyone's favorite misguided Judge Magister. Seriously, this thing's pretty awesome; it's 8 inches tall, and it has some great detailing.











Secondly, we have a Limited Edition DS Lite carrying case that was given away only to event attendees. It's labeled for "Square Enix Members" and has a strap and pockets for a few games and accessories. If you want something really special, this is it.












Third, there's a copy of Square Enix's recently released Chocobo Tales for the DS, a cute adventure title starring the iconic mascot of the Final Fantasy franchise, featuring tons of addictive mini- and micro-games. Who doesn't like free games?








Fourth, a Blue slime paperweight from the famed Dragon Quest series. Kawaii, desu ne? (Cute, isn't it?)









And lastly, we have a swanky Final Fantasy Tactics poster featuring characters sporting almost all of the job classes. It's a great piece of art that any Tactics fan would be lucky to have.















So how do you win these fabulous prizes? It couldn't be simpler: just post a comment in this thread with the answer to the following sentence: "My favorite Square Enix title of all time is (blank)." This time, we'll be picking five winners after the contest ends on Wednesday, 5/30. But wait! What is this secret twist that we mentioned on the main contest page? You'll just have to enter and check back next Wednesday to find out what it is!

But enough already, what is this mysterious twist that we keep going on and on about? It's this:

We appreciate all of the GamePro.com community members who leave us comments and make our forums the crazy, odd and happenin' places they are. So, in order to reward the active community members, we're giving them first pick of the prizes.

That means Feanaro, who worked their way up to End Boss status gets whichever of the five prizes they want. Pretty awesome, huh?

After that, seroto009 (a Playa), chooses from the remaining four prizes, then gkl (a Button Masher) picks from among the remaining three prizes.

Because both ed and lost are n00bs, we chose their order by total number of posts, so ed81240 (a n00b) gets to choose from the last two prizes, while lostinagoodbook (a total n00b) gets whatever's left.

Not every contest will be run this way, but we wanted to use this opportunity to thank our active forum members for all of their enthusastic participation in GamePro.com's community. If you don't like it, then get your rank up so next time it won't matter!
