In Agrabah during your first visit, before you see the cut scene in the alley, go to Aladdin's house and release the carpet. It flies to the desert and Sora says let's explore the town some more. Leave Aladdin's house and reenter it to find the Arabic merchant from the movie Aladdin and he will trade potions and ethers and such to you but he disappears after the scene in the alley
